2017 is here and life is starting to get back into the normal routine. The New Year is all about making resolutions and a ‘new year, new me’ attitude. Inspiration is what keeps our resolutions and dreams alive. One of my New Year resolutions is to travel more, so to help me with this resolution I have compiled a list of the top 17 travel bloggers to watch in 2017. These guys are the ones that have inspired me to travel overseas and to explore my own backyard. I must also note that there are so many more amazing travel bloggers out there than just the 17 below.
Drum roll please! In no particular order….

Angie and Simon are the masterminds behind the amazingly inspirational Feet Do Travel, which is both a blog and an online travel community. Both Angie and Simon feel in love with travelling before they met and fell for each other. After having a “conventional” start to married life together, they still wanted to explore the globe so they did just that! Angie and Simon run a Facebook group (also called Feet Do Travel), that is about bringing both travel bloggers and people who love to travel together to talk about travel advice and inspire them to travel.

Sally and Craig and their 3 kids are one of the best family travel bloggers around. Both Sally and Craig explored the world before their adorable little ones were born, including honeymooning in Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore. When they fell pregnant with the kids, they took a little break from taking on the world. Being fellow Aussies, I love watching them camp around Australia. They highlight Australia’s natural beauty and why we love to call Australia home.
What to expect – family travel, destinations (Australia, Asia, New Zealand) and cost saving tips.

Where do I start with Chasa? I have actually known Chasa for many years through penpalling and we actually met a few years ago when I went over to Alabama, USA. I am very lucky as I do consider her a good friend- even though she lives on the other side of the world to me. Chasa Travels is all about getting out and about. With her Get Out and Drive series she does what a lot of us forget to do, explore our own backyard. It is amazing that we forget we have some amazing things just outside our own neighbourhood.
What to expect – destinations (Alabama, USA, Europe, North America) and tips.

David is a travel addict. As a kid, David’s family moved overseas twice temporarily to both Belgium and Sweden from Australia. While overseas, he was able to explore different parts of Europe at a young age. This is something that Australians struggle with. It isn’t easy for Aussies to go overseas to a different country just for the weekend. Once back in Australia, David came across the ultimate traveller decision – buy a house or travel the world. After quitting his job, he packed up his bags and hit the road and created Travelsewhere.
What to expect – destinations (Europe, South and North America, Asia), budgeting and photography.

Most travel bloggers will say to you that they were born to travel but Chris was slightly different. After finishing uni and working a standard 9-5 job, Chris was battling clinical depression. After being offered an opportunity to teach in South Korea he was basically pushed there by family and friends. This is where his love of travelling started. I give great props to anyone that can go outside of their comfort zone to try something new. From here the great humour that is Aussie on the Road was born.
What to expect – destinations from all around the world, good humour and travel resources.

Tracy has been travelling for over 30 years; which included solo trips, as a single parent and with her husband. Tracy has lived in 6 countries on 3 different continents; with moving to Australia on the horizon (adding another one to the list!). Tracy’s Grandmother gave her a pack of 52 cards with beautiful places from around the world when she was a girl. This is what really inspired her to pack her bags and take on the world.

Jo is one of the most passionate travel bloggers that I have ever come across and you can see it in the way she writes. Wander with Jo is all about the adventures, specifically hiking, biking, wildlife and anything to do with the water. Jo really does have a knack of capturing the inner beauties of animals, including the animals found on safari. Her blog is the perfect one to kick back with a beer and have a good read!

Jen and Ryan are an American couple that live to see the world. This lovely couple concentrate on ethical travel, exploring the outdoors and healthy living. Jen was serving in the Peace Corps Volunteer in Rwanda when the travel blog bug attacked. Passions and Places came to be when they went for a hike in Maine and discussed goals and what they really wanted from life. This is how this fantastic blog came to be. They have concerns over portrayals over certain people and places and they want to break those stereotypes. These guys want to bring you an honest and accurate blog.
What to expect – destinations (Africa, Asia, North America, Europe), activities, accommodation and packing.

The Nomadic Hippie 2.0 is about being a travel blogger (digital nomad) and an animal rights activist. With the normal 9-5 life being given up on, this blog was started in 2015 but when Cecile went vegan in 2016 and really started to actively participate in protests and demonstrations where her travels take her it really took off. Cecile’s main goal is to spread the message of compassion through activism and to use her words to help animal rights organisations reach on a world wide scale and to get better known.
What to expect – destinations, videos, veganism and activism.

Maria is fairly new to the travelling world and I have only really just discovered her beautiful photography on her blog. Maria took on the world by travelling down to Singapore, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia and Singapore for 3.5 months with a friend and this opened her eyes to the world of travel. With books and beer also being a big part of Maria’s life, she has included lists of inspirational travel books and beer from around the world on her blog.

Hannah is another self confessed travel addict and blames Indiana Jones for it. Like a lot of travel bloggers, Hannah finished uni and didn’t want to go with the 9-5 job. So she packed her bags and moved halfway around the world on her own– now that takes guts. She made a promise to herself, go somewhere new at least twice a year. This is a goal I live by myself. With 42 countries under her belt and only 5 of them was with another person. Now that is truly epic.
What to expect – destinations (Europe, Asia, Caribbean, North America), girls getaways, inspiration, trip planning, reviews, scuba diving and solo travel.

Lexx was bitten by the travel bug back when he went to visit some mates in Australia a couple of years back. During his trip he realised that he wanted to travel the world and would make it his priority. He has travelled to over 41 countries and has a wealth of knowledge that a lot of people draw upon. I have even created my upcoming Japan itinerary from his adventures there last year.
What to expect – destinations (Asia, Africa, Europe, North America), cultural experiences, active travel and travel tips.

Bram was born and raised in Belgium, lives in Virginia, USA with his wife that he met in Australia – now that is a multi cultural life! Along with that mammoth drive, he has hiked across England and has visited almost every old city within Belgium.
What to expect – national parks, the great outdoors, urban travel, photography, books and gear.
